Thanks for the guide ☺️ Unfortunately the only brands I’ll be considering are CUUP and Cosabella. As far as I can tell they’re the only ones making underwired bras? I think a lot of these brands are really missing the mark on the ‘size inclusive’ aspect.
When you’re a G or H cup, a bralette is only worn on the bedroom since they provide no support. If I liked the look of saggy tits maybe I would buy one. It does absolutely nothing. Sorry, it’s just really frustrating 😂
That totally makes sense! I believe they are the only two but I do hear wonderful things about the support from Uye Surana even though they do not have underwire. I need to do some more updating to this post because when I first created it finding both ethical and size inclusive brands was incredibly difficult.
I have had the exact same issue as Sara. I am a 38D, so a bit less then G or H, but frankly when your breasts are heavy, the last thing thing you want is for them to be hanging down, dragging you down with them. I have still not determined why, but for some reason the few places I have found that do make bras with underwire that make completely organic bras (usually cotton, silk, or a combination of both), are in Britain. I think this is because they are finding that women are becoming allergic to synthetic fabrics, the latex and the polyester is becoming a problem, and even on occasion the underwire, ironically, via a nickel allergy. They have created something called Allergy UK certification, and a few bra companies adhere to this standard. I am sharing this hard won loot! (Its taken me YEARS to find these companies). First of all, you will be lucky to find an organic bra at $70 per bra, so prepare to invest in them, but if you take care of them well, I think its worth it. My favorite company so far is JulieMay.https://juliemay.co.uk. While most bra companies in US tend to either tell women that an all organic bra is impossible and you need to have a good percentage of plastic there, or that they imagine their allergies and that no one can be allergic to synthetics, JulieMay decided to go another route. The bra is made entirely of silk and cotton, and even the metal wires at the straps are encased so that they don’t rub you. They don’t even attach a label to the bras, the bra info is printed on the bra. Another one is Buttress & Snatch. In addition to selling bras, they also do custom bras, they encourage people to recycle cotton shirts to them and then make bras out of them, and also offer custom made bras. They are dedicated to making every bra custom made. They are expensive, but a joy to behold and an amazing gift to yourself. I will be taking a look at Cosabella again, but the last time I looked at them they still carry a lot of plastic in their products (synthetic is essentially wearing plastic in my view). If you hear of any other companies, please let me know! Hope I helped, these two stores were incredibly hard to find! I am going to keep looking in Britain, seems to be the one country that is sensible about women’s breasts.
