Setting the Table in Ethical Style with Made Trade
Setting the Table with Made Trade
Do you remember that beautiful new rug I put in my room at the beginning of the year? Made Trade is gracing my home again, and I’m finally feeling like an adult with my new table setting. I’ve eaten without placemats since living at my parent’s house 13 years ago. My table has always been an assortment of items {nothing Insta worthy, hah}, but now all I want to do is host a dinner party to show how complete it is. The only thing missing in these photos is food - and dinner guests :P

What I’m Using
MINNA Sunrise Stripe Napkins: These cotton napkins come in a set of 4 and are woven by Manuel in the village of Nahuala. Ethical brand MINNA works with master weavers and artisan collectives in Mexico, Guatemala, and Uruguay. They support craft preservation and job creation, allowing their partners to set wages.
MINNA Panalito Placemat in Indigo: I love how these two pair together so seamlessly—a beautiful mix-and-match! These cotton placemats are handwoven by a family-run cooperative of weavers in Comalapa, Guatemala. They are the perfect weight, too, so they don't move around on the table.
