Round + Square

With the beautiful global turnout at this past weekend's march, I can't think of a better time to keep this momentum than with a brand that works to bring equality for women and girls worldwide. What I love about ROUND + SQUARE {besides donating a fantastic 30% of profits to Equality Now Org.} is their aesthetic and approach to promoting gender equality. Their first collection is fashionable, fun, inviting, and precisely what we need to unite the masses. Not only do they know how to catch our attention, they know how to bring about change responsibly. All shirts, scarves, and pins are made with people and the environment in mind.

Created by fashion designer and entrepreneur Henriette Ernst, ROUND + SQUARE focuses on style, substance, and sustainability while empowering women and raising awareness for gender equality. From the diverse group of models to statement tees that will surely spark a conversation, this newly launched brand is one all of us women {& men!} can stand behind. I was head over heels at first glance, and after learning how much effort they have put into every aspect of the business, I couldn't be more excited to share this collection with you.

Why Equality Now Org.?

For the last 25 years, Equality Now Org. has been working to advance Legal Equality for women worldwide and has created programs to End Female Genital Mutilation, Sex Trafficking, and Sexual Violence. Through their Adolescent Girls' Legal Defense Fund, Equality Now works with individual cases to make sure young girls are represented and supported. For every purchase made through ROUND + SQUARE, 30% of profits will be donated directly to this amazing organization.

This socially-minded brand has not stopped at a cause. Even their materials and manufacturing are considered every step of the way. Each company they partnered with has high ethical, social, and labor standards. The tees are made in Turkey with GOTS Certified Cotton - organic cotton traced back through all production steps to ensure your garment is fairly made and safe for the environment, workers, and consumers. The pins are also made from GOTS Certified Cotton. Their cashmere-silk blend shawls are made with Canepa's SAVEtheWATER® - a Kitotex® process cutting down the use of water and energy by 90%. Going even beyond using responsible fabrics, all woven labels are made from polyester yarn of 100% recycled PET bottles. Each piece purchased is placed in a 100% organic cotton pouch, tags & packaging envelopes are made from recycled paper, AND the tag's chords are organic cotton. You check everything off your list now ;)

I've been going through an obsession with bandanas lately. I love wearing them around my neck and find them a great alternative to a necklace {especially when your tee says something as cool as "Girl Power" and you don't want anything covering it up}. The scarves also look great in your hair or are accessorized on a handbag. The tee's fit is flattering and the perfect length - not to mention pretty soft with that 100% GOTS Certified Cotton. Plus, great news for our guys, they have unisex tees! See below for some of my favorites and direct links so you can start shopping today.
